Perpetuating the family tradition, Frédéric Cerfontaine started his construction engineering activity after an assistantship position in steel construction at the University of Liège. With the aim of combining his interests for architecture and challenging problematics linked to complex calculations, Frédéric Cerfontaine started his activity on one hand with thin-walled steel structures calculations (particularly industrial racking) and on the other hand with the study of houses with complex architecture. Finally, he took on subcontracting assignements from other firms as part of bigger projects. After completing his PhD in 2003, Frédéric Cerfontaine earned the trust of achitects and industrial companies that give him the chance to take part in larger and more ambitious projects what led to the development of his firm.
